Fivefold Ministry comes from Ephesians 4:11–13, where Paul writes that Christ gave the church:

Apostles
Sent ones, pioneers, spiritual fathers/mothers, establishing foundations and advancing the gospel into new territories.
Prophets
Those who hear from God and declare His word to build, correct, and guide the church.
Evangelists
Preachers of the gospel who are especially gifted to bring people to faith in Christ.
Pastors (Shepherds)
Caregivers who nurture, guide, protect, and disciple believers.
Teachers
Instructors who explain and apply God’s Word with clarity so that believers grow in truth and maturity.
The purpose of these five roles is:
- To equip the saints (all believers) for works of service.
- To build up the body of Christ.
- To bring the church into unity, maturity, and fullness in Christ.
