Glad Tidings Free Pentecostal Church has a rich legacy of faith, hope, and love. Our doors first opened in 1902 as an evangelical fellowship, later becoming a Pentecostal denomination in the early 1950s.
Originally connected with the Elim Church Group, we have since grown into a thriving independent church, deeply rooted in the unshakable Word of God.
We are a community passionate about living the full teaching of the Bible, embracing both the Old and New Testaments, and walking in the footsteps of Jesus’ earthly ministry.
The Gospel of Christ is the foundation on which we stand, unchanging and uncompromising.
At the heart of our vision is the next generation. Our young people are rising up in a world full of challenges, yet they are boldly striving to live for Christ without compromise.
We believe in equipping them to lead, to shine as examples, and to bring hope wherever God places them. From dynamic youth gatherings to community outreach, we are nurturing a generation that is unafraid to live by the truth of God’s Word.

Glad Tidings Church
Glad Tidings Free Pentecostal church originally opened in 1902, as evangelical church, the church became a Pentecostal Denomination in the early 1950s, It was originally affiliated to the Elim Church Groups before becoming independent.
Glad Tidings Free Pentecostal Church is committed to the Full teaching of the Bible based on the Old and New Testaments and Jesus earthly ministry, which is our foundation of Faith.
Purpose & Mission
The Church’s mission is to glorify God, share the gospel of Jesus Christ, nurture believers, and serve the community through spiritual and charitable outreach. As a Pentecostal congregation, the Church is committed to the work of the Holy Spirit, biblical teaching, and practical service.

Objectives
- Conduct regular worship services, prayer meetings, and Bible studies to foster spiritual growth and community engagement.
- Provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and counseling to members and the broader community, both in person and through online platforms such as virtual prayer meetings and gospel outreach via social media.
- Offer charitable assistance to those in need through food programs, financial aid, and community initiatives, including involvement in overseas missions supporting individuals affected by AIDS while spreading the gospel.
- Actively support local and international missionary efforts to expand the reach of the gospel and serve communities worldwide.
Statement of Faith
At Glad Tidings Free Pentecostal Church, we uphold the eternal truth of the Holy Scriptures, recognising the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God, guiding our faith, conduct, and mission (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
Our Leadership
At Glad Tidings Free Pentecostal Church, leadership is not about position or title, but about service, humility, and faithfulness to Christ.
Our leaders are committed first and foremost to the unadulterated Word of God, declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ with clarity, conviction, and love.
We believe that true spiritual leadership flows from the example of Jesus Himself who came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45).
